I can imagine where you are as you teach your children to read and write. I can imagine where you are because I've been there, too. I have seen the puzzled looks when an idea wasn't clear and the bright-eyed enthusiasm when it was. I have known the frustrations and rewards you experience.

The Rowland Reading Program is based on the wisdom of some of the great educational thinkers of our time, but its instructional techniques were honed in the classroom of one teacher. This program contains the techniques that worked for my students and me. It provides everything I wanted to have at my fingertips to teach them to read and write, to love our language, and, above all, to love to learn.

It comes to you with my deep respect for the work you do. I know how hard it is!
